Craps is one of the more exciting and social table games played in casinos
today. It is one of the few truly social games played in modern casinos, and one
of the few played with dice. While the game's apparent complexity and odd jargon
like hardways and horn bets may, at first, be intimidating, you will find the
game of Craps relatively simple to master, enjoyable and rewarding.
The object of Craps is to predict the number displayed on the dice after the
dice toss. You are able to place all bets that you would find at a traditional
land-based Casino. Depending on the bet placed by the player, the player is
either betting with (Don't Pass Line bet) or against (Pass Line bet) the house
winning.
About
Craps
Craps is usually played on a large sunken table. On the table’s surface is
printed a complicated-looking pattern. The game is played with a pair of dice,
which are thrown by the ‘shooter’, the player who is currently holding the
dice. Other players may join in and place their own bets.
The game of Craps can be as simple or as complicated as the player wishes to
make it. There are quite a number of bets to choose from. In the simplest form
of the game the shooter places a bet on the Pass Line and attempts to roll a
seven or eleven (or on the Don't Pass Bar and attempt to roll a two or three) .
Craps
Buttons
The ROLL button will start a game of Craps by rolling the dice. The ROLL
button will only work if there is a bet on the table.
The table felt is divided up according to the pattern of a traditional craps
table. It is strongly suggested that you read up about the kinds of bets
available in the Types of Bets section. To place a wager on any of these bets
simply left click on the table to
increase the size of your bet and right click to decrease or you can use the
drag & drop method.
The COIN buttons allows you to adjust the size of your wager. If you are
using a Chip size of 1 then each mouse click will only add or remove 1 from the
current pile of chips on the table.
The CLEAR button removes all chips that are not on established points.
How
to Play Craps
There are numerous betting options available but you only need to understand
a few of them to play the game, have fun and win.
You are betting on the number the next roll of the dice will display or won't
display. In its simplest form you place a bet on the Pass line (or on the Don't
Pass Line) and try to roll a seven or an eleven (or a two or three). If you
succeed the bet will pay even money and you can make another bet. This first
roll is called the 'Come Out' roll.
Should you fail to roll a seven, eleven, two, three or twelve then the
'point' is established on the number of the value of the dice rolled. Once a
point is established your objective is to roll the 'point' again before the next
seven is rolled. If a seven is rolled you lose your bet. Once the 'point' has
been established you can not remove your bet from the table.
Dice rolling continues until the PASS/DON'T PASS bets have either won or
lost. If there are remaining bets (COME/DON"T COME bets, PLACE bets etc.)
dice rolling will continue and a new point will be established. If no other bets
are remaining on the table you must place a bet in order to roll the dice.
At any time between dice rolls you can place bets. PASS LINE/DON'T PASS LINE
bets can only be placed if the white puck is NOT on the table.
Types
of Craps Bets
There are numerous bets you can place on a craps table:
Pass Line Bet
The wager is placed on the PASS LINE field. A wager on the PASS LINE wins if the
COME OUT ROLL is a 7 or 11 and loses if a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled first.
If the COME OUT roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 the POINT is established. To win
the bet, you must repeat the POINT before a 7 is rolled. If you roll a 7 before
the POINT is repeated, the PASS LINE bet loses.
Once the POINT is established, the bet may not be removed or changed.
Don't Pass Bets
The wager is placed on the DON’T PASS BAR field. A wager on the DON’T PASS
BAR wins if the COME OUT ROLL of the dice is a 2 or 3 and loses if a 7 or 11 is
rolled first. If you roll a 12, it is considered a tie and play continues.
If the COME OUT roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 the POINT is established. To win
the bet, you must roll a 7 before the POINT is repeated. If you repeat the POINT
before a 7 is rolled the DON’T PASS LINE bet loses.
Once the POINT is established, the bet may not be removed or changed.
Come Bets
COME bets are made after the POINT has been established. The rules for this bet
are the same as the PASS LINE bet.
The wager is placed on the COME field. A wager on the COME field wins if the
dice throw – immediately following the placement of the bet - is a 7 or 11 and
loses if a 2, 3 or 12 is rolled.
If the roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 the COME POINT is established. To win the
bet, you must repeat the COME POINT before a 7 is rolled. If you roll a 7 before
the COME POINT is repeated, the COME bet loses.
Once the COME POINT is established, the bet may not be removed or changed.
Don't Come Bets
DON'T COME bets are made after the POINT has been established. The rules for
this bet are the same as the DON'T PASS LINE bet.
The wager is placed on the DON’T COME BAR field. A wager on the DON'T COME BAR
field wins if the dice throw – immediately following the placement of the bet
– is a 2 or 3 and loses if a 7 or 11 is rolled. If you roll a 12, it is
considered a tie and play continues.
If the roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10 the COME POINT is established. To win the
bet, you must roll a 7 before the COME POINT is repeated. If you repeat the COME
POINT before a 7 is rolled the DON’T COME bet loses
Once the COME POINT is established, the bet may not be removed or changed.
Place Bets
Place bets are made on the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 only.
NOTE: On Place bets you must bet the proper amount to get an even payout. The
Casino software automatically forces you to bet the proper amount on Place bets
you don't need to determine the proper amount to bet.
Place Bet to Win
The wager is placed on the WIN field below the number. To win the bet, you must
roll the place number before a 7 is rolled; otherwise the bet loses.
The bet may be placed or removed at any time.
Place Bet to Lose
The wager is placed on the LOSE field above the number. To win the bet, you must
roll a 7 before the place number is rolled; otherwise the bet loses.
The bet may be placed or removed at any time.
Free Odds Bets
Free Odds bets are placed on the point or come point only.
NOTE: On Free Odds bets you must be careful to bet the proper amount to get an
even payout. On uneven payouts the casino will round down to the next lowest
even payout. On 5 or 9 your bet should be made in multiples of $2, on 6 or 8
your bet should be made in multiples of $5 and 4 or 10 it doesn't matter what
you bet because the payout - 2 to 1 - is always even. Remember that your
Pass/Don't Pass bet determines the value of your Free Odds bet.
Free Odds after Pass Line Bet
The FREE ODDS stake is equal to your original PASS LINE stake and can only be
made after the POINT has been established. The rules for this bet are the same
as the PASS LINE bet.
The wager is placed beside your PASS LINE stake. If the PASS LINE bet wins, the
original PASS LINE bet and the FREE ODDS bet are paid.
The wager may be placed any time after the POINT has been established and can be
removed at any time.
Free Odds after the Don't Pass Line Bet

made after the POINT has been established. The rules for this bet are the same
as the DON’T PASS bet.

the original DON’T PASS bet and the FREE ODDS bet are paid.
The wager may be placed any time after the POINT has been established and can be
removed at any time.

’T COME bet.
